I don’t often like to use the term, SEX SLAVE and our hero, Kai of Darkmide from Demon Within knows all about this.
Walking their horse at a steady pace, they were almost home. Kai, still overwhelmed at the miracle Eloise had performed and astounded she wasn’t held in a higher regard by her family, squeezed her lovingly. He felt her warm breath fall against his skin and realized he’d never appreciated how pleasant the sensation could be. He felt a connection he’d not had with anyone else.
Robbed of deep feeling his whole life, Kai struggled to connect emotionally with a woman. He’d always simply satisfied his sexual demands and then dismissed his women afterwards with no further need for their counsel. After winning his first fight at sixteen, he was rewarded with a young woman to use for his sexual pleasure. Thus his only education had begun with regard to women. Equal to a stallion used for stud, he’d learned quickly and performed his duties well. Detached from any emotion, he didn’t need to know the names of the women he serviced. They were slaves, like him. Once he’d completed the task, they were removed from his cell. He’d never see them again.
As a child learns the difference between right and wrong from his parents, Kai learned the same from his slavers. It was a twisted education that taught him killing earned rewards, and women were a mere commodity. Years of systematic training made him a warrior, a fighter, and a breeder. They didn’t teach him about love; that would have to come now from someone who could forgive his life of butchery and carnage.
Ascension Within is the final book in the Fallen Angels Series. We ‘ve seen Eloise change from a timid princess into a strong and powerful queen. Her husband, Kai of Darkmide has also had some life changes and now finds himself in Hell. The task to take Samyaza back to his prison was a task Kai chose, but not everyone was happy with the arrangement.
Read the final book in the series and learn the whole story!
Smoke and flames billowed around the fallen angel, Samyaza, as he disappeared under the earth. Clinging onto him, Kai gasped for air as the choking fumes filled his lungs, but he wasn’t about to release his captive. For what seemed like an eternity, they tumbled back to the depths of hell, both fighting along the way. Samyaza tried to free himself from the half-angel. His arms flailed in frustration, and his temper grew when he realized that ridding himself of the warrior was fruitless. He screamed an ear-piercing howl when his feet connected with the charred ground.
“Scream all you want fallen, you’re staying here!” Kai struggled to keep his hold on the demon, and although he held him fast, he worried he’d be unable to fulfill his task and secure Samyaza to his prison. Cursing as he searched the chasm for the means to hold the prisoner, Kai’s attention drew to a shape hovering close by. Despite the orange glow from the burning tar pits, there remained darkened corners, and his eyes narrowed as a hooded figure emerged from the dimness.
“Here, bind him with this!”
A thick chain, seemingly glowing, flew towards Kai, and catching it with one hand, he hissed at the hot iron.
“Your skin will not burn if you hurry,” the concerned voice called.
Hurrying as instructed, Kai looped the chain around Samyaza’s thick neck. The ground suddenly trembled, and the sound of cracking rocks caused Kai to glance over his shoulder towards the noise. Grinning, he watched in amazement as a means to fasten Samyaza appeared before his eyes. Anchored into the stone, an iron ring, large enough to thread the chain through, glowed brightly. He stretched his hand towards the hoop, and growled. Reluctant to relinquish his hold on Samyaza to reach for the ring of iron, Kai cursed.
“Throw it to me!” The voice urged.
Narrowing his eyes, Kai could barely make out the features of the shrouded man, but had no option than to trust him, and threw him the chain.
“Quickly! I’m losing my hold.” Kai pulled on the cable, tightening it around Samyaza’s neck as he tried to free himself. “I cannot hold him!”
“Almost finished… just a moment longer!”
The expanse filled with a deafening roar when Samyaza felt the chain tighten. He tugged at the burning iron using all his strength, but it was useless. His wings spread wide and swiped at the cloaked figure.
“Watch out!” Kai could barely hold onto his quarry as Samyaza’s arms and wings thrashed.
“He is bound!” The figure pushed the hood of his cloak over his head to reveal golden hair, scraped away from his face and secured by a leather band. “You may release him, son.”
Kai paused for the briefest moment before loosening his hold on Samyaza. He quickly ducked to avoid his flaying wings before moving to stand by his father’s side.
They watched as the walls expanded, seemingly breaking apart before engulfing Samyaza. His cries diminished quickly as the stone reformed, sealing him away.
No words passed between Kai and Adram, his father. They studied one another, noting every detail of each other’s face.
It’s great to be involved with other bloggers and authors and I was very pleased to take an interview with author Rose Montague for her blog.
1. Thank you for joining us for Witch Month at Fantasy Fun Reads! It looks like Angel Within features both a good witch as well as an evil one. Tell us a little about those two characters.
Thanks for having me! My two witches are Jana, a very beautiful but wicked witch, and Sian, a timid young woman who due to unfortunate circumstances, ends up in Jana’s coven. Jana has a mission, in fact she has a few. I have to be careful not to give too many spoilers but her first objective is to raise Samyaza, the most powerful of the fallen angles. She is getting a little inside help, but…this will be revealed in book three, Ascension Within. This witch has her eyes set firmly on Kai, our hero, and she will stop at nothing to get him where she wants him. (If I tell you where she wants him, it will blow her cover, lol.)
Introducing Nazar – A new warrior in the Fallen Angels Series – Angel Within – Book Two
Nazar recently moved to Blackhill after leaving his home in the east a few years earlier. He had travelled to lands in the west because details of Kai’s triumph over the fallen angel, Adramelech, had reached his ears. Eager to find adventure he’d sought out Sabe. After discovering Kai had moved to Brightstone to take up the throne with Eloise, as his queen, Nazar inquired if there was need of a skilled swordsman. Sabe advised a position had just become available. When Nazar showed off his skills with bow, sword, and spear, Sabe eagerly offered him the position. His throwing aim was unmatched by anyone.
As tall as Sabe and with long, black hair falling past his waist, the younger females at the house fussed around him. It was unclear whether it was his chiseled features and winning smile or his lean physique that attracted them. Often exercising in the courtyard, bare from the waist up and displaying intricate tattoos covering his back, he always drew in a crowd.
His fighting techniques were unlike anything anyone had seen at Blackhill.

Keagen sauntered into the first bar he came across. It was dark and dingy and only two other people took up space at the bar. Scanning the room thoroughly before pulling out a stool, there was a sudden rush of blood to his cock when the pretty bartender greeted him with a smile.
“Hey, stranger, what can I get you?”
“Now you’re asking.” Keagen grinned. “Coffee, please.” He couldn’t help but notice her scent and smiled. She had to be the girlfriend. If he dropped in, that would make for an interesting meeting.
Lyssa poured the tall, dark, and extremely handsome punter a mug of coffee.
“Are you new in town or just passing through?” Furnishing him with a cheery smile and wide eyes she couldn’t resist a flirt. Aside from Gabriel, he was the only other good-looking man she’d set eyes on.
“Oh, I’m here to check on family.” He sipped his coffee while glowering over the rim at Lyssa. Noticing pert breasts with peaked nipples, his cock thickened under the restraints of his jeans.
“You have family? Here?” Raising both brows Lyssa wondered who in Dewburn Falls had relatives this hot. “What’s your name?”
Keagen breathed deeply before pursing his lips. He wasn’t up for sharing right now although he was sure he could fob her off with a line. “I’m adopted, so my name wouldn’t be familiar to you but you can call me Keagen.” He leaned against the counter. “What’s your name, princess?”
“Lyssa.” She beamed. She liked the way he smiled. He was utterly delicious in a wicked‘I’ll rip out your heart’ kind of way.
“That’s a pretty name for a pretty lady.” He flashed another dazzling smile. “Are you spoken for, or may I ask you out to dinner?”
Blushing, and suddenly feeling cornered, Lyssa grimaced. “Yeah, I’m kind of involved with someone, but thanks for asking.”
“Well I guess I’ll have to eat alone, then.” Keagen thought for a moment. She had to be involved with his prey. He snapped his head toward the door and watched another young and attractive female move closer. His brow arched. Dewburn Falls had much to offer. His nostrils flared as the scent drifted his way. Wolf. Another one. There’s no wonder he’d moved here;there’s wall-to-wall pussy. Well, sort of.
