It’s my favorite time of the day when I get to reveal another cover that I’ve created. Waiting for author’s release dates is a pain, but these things have to be done. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, do we? lol
Let me show you the 2nd cover in the Witch Blood Chronicles, by Debbie Cassidy. This is the spin off series from the popular series “The Gatekeeper Chronicles” which Debbie co wrote with New York Times Bestselling author, Jasmine Walt.
I’m going to start showing which stock images I used to create my covers, because then you can see what goes into making a cover.
I’ve been working on a new piece which I absolutely love and I hope you will too. I’ve named it ‘Siren’. The price is $45. If you want a full wrap around cover to go with it, that will be an additional $25
I ‘ve worked with author Bill Hiate on a previous project for one of his books, and because he was pleased with the way I work, and the quality of my work, he gave me more work. *grins wide*
We worked together to get this cover looking fabulous, and initially he told me this was to be a Halloween short, but he felt inspired to write because of the cover and has now made this into a series! Wicked!!
So here’s the cover…I personally love it, but I’m biased! *snort* and I’ve attached the purchase link in case you fancy a read.
Chris thinks the website that asks him if he wants to sell his soul has to be joke. There is a thirty-day free trial option, so just for laughs he accepts the deal and sells his soul to have a beautiful girlfriend. He keeps right on laughing–until the next day, when a heart-stoppingly amazing girl comes into his life.
In denial at first, Chris finally has to accept that he really has sold his soul. He still has time to cancel under this thirty-day trial, but there’s just one problem: he’s fallen in love

Angel Within excerpt
The deserted courtyard suddenly filled with the sound of
hooves against the cobbles as Kai rode as close to the stone steps as he could
manage. His urgency was plain. Dismounting and leaving his horse unattended, he
kicked the feet of the sleeping guard in the doorway as he pushed the highly
decorated doors open.
It was barely dawn and not even the kitchen staff had risen
yet, but he wasn’t interested in food and marched towards the staircase. Taking
the stairs by twos, he hastened toward the bedroom.
Kai paused outside the door and kicked off his boots before
creeping inside the dimly lit room. The sparse glow from the few candles dotted
around had little or no effect and stepping cautiously, Kai tried to remain quiet.
A pungent aroma filled his nostrils, powerful and exotic; he’d never smelled
anything so strong and heady. Eloise loved candles and frequently sent Anna to
the chandler with specific requests to add sweet scented oils into the wax.
Glancing towards the bed, he smiled. Eloise lay fast asleep.
Pouring water into the bowl from the jug, he wetted a cloth
and began washing his hands and face. He pulled his shirt over his head and
unfastened the belt on his trousers.
“You’ve returned earlier than expected, husband.”
He turned with a start.
. She wore a thin nightgown, open at the front and only
fastened with a ribbon at her chest. Long hair cascaded past her shoulders to her
waist; she’d left it untied, just how he liked it. His eyes moved slowly
upwards to greet her smile.
“Eloise.” He rushed forward, his arms closed around her in a
bone-crushing embrace. “I’ve missed you.” Kissing her head, his hand smoothed
around her waist and squeezed her tightly. Soft groans fell against her neck as
he nestled his face close. “I was trying not to disturb you.”
“I must have sensed your return, I couldn’t find sleep.”
Eloise looped her arms around his neck. Her soft words filled his ears. “You
have no idea how eager I was for your return.”
Kai was unable to respond as the soft press of wet lips
caused his mouth to open when Eloise slanted her mouth over his. Her body
curled towards him as she pulled at his neck, locking their embrace. His cock
throbbed when Eloise ground her hips against him. Undone by her seductive voice
after she released her hold, Kai sighed deeply.
“I need you, come to bed.”
“Let me wash.” Kai attempted to push her away as he released
his hold, but she clung to him, desperately.
“No, I want you now, you smell like a man, a warrior… I
don’t want to wait. Come.”
Read this excerpt from Blood Ties, the latest Urban Fantasy novel from Julie Nicholls. Available in eBook, paperback and audio book.
Keagen sauntered into the first bar he came across. It was dark and dingy and only two other people took up space at the bar. Scanning the room thoroughly before pulling out a stool, there was a sudden rush of blood to his cock when the pretty bartender greeted him with a smile.
“Hey, stranger, what can I get you?”
“Now you’re asking.” Keagen grinned. “Coffee, please.” He couldn’t help but notice her scent and smiled. She had to be the girlfriend. If he dropped in, that would make for an interesting meeting.
Lyssa poured the tall, dark, and extremely handsome punter a mug of coffee.
“Are you new in town or just passing through?” Furnishing him with a cheery smile and wide eyes she couldn’t resist a flirt. Aside from Gabriel, he was the only other good-looking man she’d set eyes on.
“Oh, I’m here to check on family.” He sipped his coffee while glowering over the rim at Lyssa. Noticing pert breasts with peaked nipples, his cock thickened under the restraints of his jeans.
“You have family? Here?” Raising both brows Lyssa wondered who in Dewburn Falls had relatives this hot. “What’s your name?”
Keagen breathed deeply before pursing his lips. He wasn’t up for sharing right now although he was sure he could fob her off with a line. “I’m adopted, so my name wouldn’t be familiar to you but you can call me Keagen.” He leaned against the counter. “What’s your name, princess?”
“Lyssa.” She beamed. She liked the way he smiled. He was utterly delicious in a wicked‘I’ll rip out your heart’ kind of way.
“That’s a pretty name for a pretty lady.” He flashed another dazzling smile. “Are you spoken for, or may I ask you out to dinner?”
Blushing, and suddenly feeling cornered, Lyssa grimaced. “Yeah, I’m kind of involved with someone, but thanks for asking.”
“Well I guess I’ll have to eat alone, then.” Keagen thought for a moment. She had to be involved with his prey. He snapped his head toward the door and watched another young and attractive female move closer. His brow arched. Dewburn Falls had much to offer. His nostrils flared as the scent drifted his way. Wolf. Another one. There’s no wonder he’d moved here;there’s wall-to-wall pussy. Well, sort of.
This might have to come with a warning… because it’s a bit nawty. However, I do know quite a few women who swoon at the idea of watching a man pleasure himself so I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek.
Scott Richard Ehredt, the fabulous actor who’s narrated this third and final installment of the Fallen Angel Series is my hero. His talent knows no bounds and I consider myself extremely fortunate that he’s narrating this series.
Have a listen and let me know what you think. If you like what you hear, you should check out Demon Within and Angel Within audio books
I’m pleased that my Fallen Angels series is in Grandma Peachy’s top list of best books for 2015. A great honor and I hope after checking out her blog, you’ll see all the other fabulous books she’s read and reviewed last year.
The first I read is an epic paranormal romance series, Fallen Angels, by Julie Nicholls. Other than my daughter’s books I really had not read much paranormalanything, let alone romance in this genre. My resident author was stoked about this author and convinced me that I should at least read her books. Yes, these are romance books and yes there were
some very steamy scenes in the series, but, there was so much more to the stories. Epic, I’m not sure that the series is billed as epic, but to me the series is just as epic as any I’ve read. Angels and demons, political power struggles, intrigue and battles. Full of action and adventure, love, lust, magic and myth. I loved this series and am looking forward to reading more by this author in the coming year.
Fabulous! Thank you so much Grandma Peachy! Mwuah!
Have you checked out Mistral Dawn’s latest book, Captivated By The Winter King? If not, what are you waiting for? 😉 Just in case you need a little incentive, here’s a small taste of what waits for you. 🙂
Narrowing her eyes, she stalked towards him and poked him on his chest. “You did that on purpose, didn’t you? You’re trying to distract me. It won’t work.”
His smile sharpened and he leaned down to whisper in her ear, “I bet I could distract you if I really tried.”
Glaring at him, she backed up to the bench where she had left her supplies. She picked up a pair of elbow-length, leather gloves and slid them up her arms. After pulling the material tight over her fingers, she took the bottle of lube she had brought and walked back to Ankou. It was the fiery lubricant she had learned was his favorite, and the gloves allowed her to use it in ways she hadn’t been able to before.
Discarded and ignored by those around her for most of her life, Cassie is a lonely human woman struggling to find her place in the world and meaning in her life. Cadeyrn is the Erlking, the leader of the Wild Hunt, a hundreds of thousands of years old Fae who has always known his purpose. He has spent his entire long existence tracking the criminals of Faerie and punishing them for their crimes.
While hunting for the murderer of a child who has escaped to Earth Cadeyrn comes across Cassie and realizes that she is the one that the great mother goddess has designated as his soul mate. He kidnaps her and takes her to his fortress in Fairie to protect her from his many enemies. He knows she will be angry and that he’ll have to work to earn her trust, but he finds his task to be even more challenging than he had thought it would be due to Cassie’s difficulty in opening her heart.
Will Cadeyrn be able to convince Cassie that the bond between them is real and earn her love?
The Summer Court is in an uproar. The king has just been executed for unpardonable crimes, and the queen is prostrate with grief over his loss. This leaves the Summer kingdom bereft of true leadership; a problem which is compounded by the fact that the laws of Fairie require balance to be maintained by having a male and a female ruler for both Season Courts at all times. Uaine, the Summer prince, is the only one who can put things right, but he is without a mate. Knowing that he must take a bride quickly, for the sake of his people, even though he is struggling with his own feelings of pain and anger over his father’s treachery, he goes for a walk in a forest near the palace to try to clear his head and determine how best to choose a female to rule beside him.
While walking Uaine discovers a human female running loose in Fairie, which is against the most basic tenets of Fae law. Furious at one more problem he must deal with, he takes her prisoner and locks her in the dungeon; only to discover later that she is his soul-mate. The magical bond between them means they are meant to be together forever, but humans can’t feel the magic of Fairie. Will Uaine be able to win her heart and convince her that she can trust him to keep her safe from all the dangers of Fairie…including himself?
Roni is a human con woman and petty thief. Having run afoul of the local crime syndicate in the city where she is staying, she finds herself running for her life. Trouble is no stranger to her, but when she falls through a hole in a wall and finds herself in a world with carnivorous trees and rocks that eat people she realizes she may have found more of it than she can deal with. Rescued/arrested by the prince of the Summer Court, it doesn’t take long for her to formulate a plan to use him to get herself home. Unfortunately for her, she soon finds that her heart, which she had thought long ago turned to stone, has begun to feel the love she has been playing at. Will she be able to overcome a lifetime of caution and allow herself to follow her heart? Can a criminal love a cop?
Jillian knows something bad is going to happen! She has been a loyal adviser to the throne and friend of the queen, Briallen, for thousands of years, and now Roni and Uaine’s wedding and coronation are to take place in just a couple days. The Summer Court will have a new king and queen, who, it is hoped, can repair the damage and heal the schism the late king created.
But Jillian can’t shake the feeling that trouble is brewing. Many of the Summer nobles aren’t happy about the changes that are taking place in the Summer Court, and many of the other Fae just aren’t too sure about having a human on the throne…even if she has been blessed by the goddess. When Angelica, the leader of the Pixies, comes to her with news of a plot to murder the prince and princess, Jillian’s suspicions are confirmed. Will the two of them be able to unravel this conspiracy in time to save the royal couple? Or will prejudice prevail, and the hope for peace in Fairie be lost forever?
*This is a novella and is number 2.5 in the series. Taken By The Huntsman is the first book in the series, and Bound By The Summer Prince Is the second book in the series

This fantasy romance series has a bit of everything. Fighting, magic, humor and hot sex. The stories for each book are individual, but it is advisable that you start with Demon Within, as important details/secrets come to light at the end of the novel.
Sabe frowned, and hoped to learn of the joke between Kai and Beros as Kai chuckled.
Kai stood up, and dusting off his pants, scanned the camp. “Where will I sleep?”
“With me.” Sabe grinned and left the warmth of his blanket, and Nissa’s body, to stand by his side. He slapped his shoulder, “But don’t worry, you’ll not be getting a goodnight kiss.”
Everyone laughed as Kai shoved at his friend. “I’m pleased to be respected among my friends.” Kai grinned wide. “You’ll do as your king commands; else I’ll have you flogged.”
Laughter rang around the fire once more, as the banter between Sabe and Kai continued, raising their spirits. The somber mood over the last few weeks had lingered for too long. Too many warriors fell to their death, and it was time to bring happier times forward.
“Until the morning then.” Kai pulled at Sabe’s arm as he attempted to say goodnight to Nissa, “Come on. I need my boots removing!” He chortled.
They’d brought only four tents. Nissa and Kiera occupied one, Sabe and Kai the other, while Jace, Nazar, Beros, and Maika used the others. The warriors often slept under the stars, and had makeshift shelters using canvas and the surrounding trees.
Kai removed his shirt, just as Sabe entered the dwelling.
Grinning at the claw marks on Kai’s back, Sabe couldn’t resist a tease, “I’m glad Nissa can’t see what her queen does in the bedroom. I’d be ripped to shreds!”
Kai grinned and turned to face his friend, showing the rest of his freshly scarred body.
Sabe grimaced with a hiss. “Is this a new game you’re engaging in?”
Frowning, Kai ran his fingertips over the wounds. The memories of his night with Eloise seemed distant. His recollection of the passionate manner in which his wife caused him harm faded quickly.
“This isn’t usual; I have no idea what made Eloise so…”
Sabe leaned in for a closer inspection and winced. “Imagine what damage she would have caused if you’d been gone for a week!”
They laughed and made ready for their beds. Kai was still tired, despite not rising until the afternoon.
Groaning as he lay back, he rested his arms behind his head. He turned to his friend with concerned thoughts. “Will you be alright tomorrow?”
“Of course, why wouldn’t I be?”
“It’s been a few years since… well, after what Tigan attempted. I’m just worried you might not be able to resist the temptation to kill him.”
The thought had crossed Sabe’s mind, and he knew Kiera would be equally satisfied if he did. “He deserves it, but you can count on me. I’ll do whatever you command.”
Lifting his head off the makeshift bed, Kai turned to his friend. “I’ll give no commands.” He scowled, “Nothing has altered between us, despite my title.”
He puffed out as he lay down. He never asked to be king, if he’d had his way, he and Eloise would have remained at Blackhill.
“I’ve always followed your lead, and I’ll continue. We’ll watch how it unfolds and you can decide the best course of action. Agreed?”
Kai sighed, “Agreed.”
“We’re settled then. Now unless you want me to tuck you in and kiss you goodnight, go to sleep.”
